David’s a serious guy. Serious about his art and the creative process. Serious about delivering a great production from storyboard through completion. Serious about family and doing the right thing. But he does smile, over a subtle joke, a job well done or even a Miami Dolphin’s victory. David combines his expertise on the set with his mastery of post to create groundbreaking work for major networks and ad agencies worldwide. His impressive stash of awards includes an Emmy for the Super Bowl on CBS and armloads of Promax/BDA Design Awards, including World Gold for Art Direction. Painter, photographer, traveler, husband and Dad, he’s got a lot to be serious about and a lot to smile about.
It’s easy to imagine Kyle as the mild-mannered alter ego of a dynamic super hero, but his devoted clients know that he doesn’t require a costume to exhibit his super powers. A true creative champion with design powers far beyond those of mortal men, Kyle causes gasps from the admiring crowd with his heroic results on screen. He turns concepts into masterpieces, and average footage into award-winning works of art. He’s just one step ahead of Johnny Depp as the most talented product of Owensboro, Kentucky. Beachcomber, guitar hero, art collector, athlete. With Kyle there’s always something amazing lurking just below the surface.
World traveler, cartoon addict and master of the Rubik’s cube, Carlos brings his versatility, humor and relaxed style to everything he does. He was raised in Colombia, educated in Switzerland, and served in the Air Force on a remote island in the Indian Ocean. There, he split his time between handling nuclear warheads and making stop-motion movies. Now he’s an award-winning motion designer with an explosive portfolio of network, advertising, and environmental creations. Carlos has mapped digital graffiti on an Irish castle, and designed new looks for Discovery Channel. In his free time Carlos takes off on his motorcycle, occasionally pausing to watch soccer or superhero movies.
This Hawaii girl left her home in the middle of the Pacific Ocean to explore, and has since hitchhiked, surfed, and sold pineapple cakes to make her way throughout five continents. Somewhere in that time frame she also managed the online media teams for extreme sports races in Patagonia and Alaska, dove into San Francisco and Colorado’s travel/adventure sports industries, and was a finalist for Columbia Sportswear’s Director of Toughness 2017 competition. She was always working with film crews somehow though, which helped her realize that her next big adventure would have to be running around sets instead of running around race courses. It proved to be her best decision yet! Lia moved to NYC full time and teamed up with Lava Studio, ensuring the best adventures are still yet to come.
